Rev. Josh McKamy became a Christian during his freshman year of college at Bucknell university through the ministries of Disciplemakers (a college ministry) and Redeemer OPC, Danville. During his time at Bucknell, Josh grew in his love for sharing the good news of Jesus with others, and through studying the Bible came to a conviction that the Reformed faith is most faithful to the Bible. This conviction was confirmed during his 4 years studying theology at Westminster Theological Seminary near Philadelphia prior to his ordination. Having become a Christian largely through the ministry of a church plant, new churches are something which have always been on his heart, so he was excited about the opportunity to serve here in Chambersburg!

Josh is a graduate of Bucknell University with a B.A. in Classics and of Westminster Theological Seminary with an M.Div in Pastoral Studies. He and his wife, Kristen, were married in 2009 and have three children.

Our Elders

Rev. John Mallin (also a graduate of Westminster Theological Seminary near Philadelphia) is an ordained minister in the OPC and presently works as a Biblical Counselor. He lives in Greencastle with his wife (Sue) and son, and he has had a heart for starting a Reformed and Presbyterian church here in Chambersburg for many years.

Tim Shatzer lives just outside Chambersburg and has been an elder at Living Hope Presbyterian Church in Gettysburg for many years. Tim grew up in Chambersburg and now works as a large equipment mechanic in town.

Chris Walmer is an elder of Calvary OPC in Middletown and serves our presbytery as Regional Home Missions Coordinator. He serves as an elder in new churches which need his service and expertise in the area of church planting and we are delighted to have him and his wife (Nancy) with us for a time.

Our Deacon

Evan Nilsen is a 27 year veteran of the United States Coast Guard having retired in 2012 at the rank of Chief Petty Officer. Evan has served as Covenant's Deacon since 2015 and previously for 4 years at the Presbyterian Church of Cape Cod.
